It's a term I've decided to use for the past year or so to define a certain type of breakcore. Jungle breakcore, raggacore, idm/glitch influenced jungle/dnb, hard ragga jungle, hard jungle choppage, chiptune breakcore/breaks.. jungle snare breaks rather than techno kicks..this sort of edited music..really just wanted to use a word that didn't necessary make people imagine 400bpm kicks the *entire* night .. but rest assured, there will be a lot of breakcore for this night. I do prefer personally jungle + dnb morphing slowly into crazy 'breakmore' rather than speedcore/extratone style stuff hehe

There will almost certaintly be a bit of techno/gabber breakcore but I hope its minimal, I think a lot of dnb/jungle people sometimes don't get to appreciate the breakcore aimed at them because they don't even know it exists.. breakcore is so diverse. Also IDM / trip hop is vastly underplayed imo

I just don't think the word 'breakcore' is appealing to more than a select audience, and rather intimidating to a lot of people so I chose not to use it. I am working on splitting No Excuse into two seperate events, one for more of a straight jungle focus and another for more experimental (thinking name at the moment is So Recluse), so that punters don't turn up to the noisy night expecting breaks + hip hop smile

Much on the horizon - have had to slow down the future timeframe to keep up with my life and other obligations, but there are just TOO many great artists needing to be booked..Also going to do more friday night shows and move the date from the third Saturday of the month to another date..


Once again this will be recorded for your post-gig sleaze bag reporting pleasure (check out the youtube page and watch the guy in the white singlet sleazing onto EVERYONE there, both male + female), with less audio glitches hopefully this time (stupid crap laptop sound cards). Furthermore the part 1 & 2 videos of the last night will be up eventually, I think I have figured out timecode differences which should make syncing the line + video audio a hell of a lot easier than for current videos

so there will be a hardcore-breakcore event and a junglist-breakcore event?.. what about the artists that mix them together (which = every breakcore producer)

The music only appeals to a select audience, so why bother trying to trick emo junglists to go to a breakcore show. Maybe your splitting it up too much.. just lump it all together and if someone complains tell them to GTFO
