So today I took part in a competition being run by Ableton called Beat The Clock.

I hate to be this guy, but can you please vote for this remix I did for a contest that Ableton is running.

I know how annoying it is when people ask you to vote for their shit all the time (I've actually never done it before), but 1st place prize is a trip to Berlin to meet Ableton and SoundCloud, so if you're in Europe, this is good thing! It means I'll most likely play some shows closer to you than I've ever been before!

Anyway, the contest states that you have to finish a track (with the stems they provided) within 24 hours. I did mine in about 11 hours.

Also, anyone that votes, I'll give you a free wav download of the track! I'm just going to go off an honesty based system here, so basically if you message me and say, hey I voted give me that track I'll give it to you, but please actually vote if you can!

That’s right, SoundBytes is back for our first post-Blip show, with a new night and a new venue and some new names who are lighting up the chipmusic scene.

First up for his first SoundBytes we have Slato, who was a regular at Mana Bar Brisbane’s “Pocket Music” nights. You may have seen his awesome performance at the recent open mic, and he’s bringing his gameboys back to Melbourne to get you moving.

Next up, rebelling against the game boys we have a double shot of Amiga epicness from two of Sydney’s finest. DF0:BAD who you may have previously seen performing as Vicious Cyclist will be a gabber kick to the face, while Australia’s favourite performing “wale”, Peaches along with her dad godinpants, will be performing amazing aquatic inspired jungle d&b for your listening pleasure.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten our local talent, with Maddest Kings Alive, Derris-Kharlan and dot.AY rounding out what is sure to be a stellar lineup. And, just for a little something extra special, with an AV setup like The Order has (trust us it’s amazing!), we’d be crazy not to have visuals too to round out the evening so for the first time at SoundBytes we have Abortifacient and iLKke (yeah the guy that makes our amazing posters!!) ensuring that you’re not only getting the audio chip experience but spectacular visuals too.

Hey!

We've launched a new breakcore compilation project and we're looking for submissions for it. This will be a themed online compilation called "Fuck". The theme has been inspired by the 90's hardcore/gabber which contained a lot of "fuck" words. Your submission may be any kind of breakcore as long as it fits the requirements listed below.

Requirements
- Use minimal 50 times the word "fuck". You can use the word itself, but we will also count word variations like "fucking", "motherfucker", "unfuckingbelievable" and so on.
- Your tracktitle should contain minimal 1 "fuck" or a word variation of it. Please be creative with this. We don't accept tracks which are titled only as "fuck".
- Stay creative apart from the theme of this release. Don't just send a boring track with minimal 50 fucks.

What we need
- Your track in .wav format (32 bit), when mastered: volume at -12db RMS
- Your artistname
- Title of the track
- Your website(s)
- Your country
