Hey guys,

So today I took part in a competition being run by Ableton called Beat The Clock.

I hate to be this guy, but can you please vote for this remix I did for a contest that Ableton is running.

You can vote here - http://contest.ableton.com/tracks/103

I know how annoying it is when people ask you to vote for their shit all the time (I've actually never done it before), but 1st place prize is a trip to Berlin to meet Ableton and SoundCloud, so if you're in Europe, this is good thing! It means I'll most likely play some shows closer to you than I've ever been before!

Anyway, the contest states that you have to finish a track (with the stems they provided) within 24 hours. I did mine in about 11 hours.

Also, anyone that votes, I'll give you a free wav download of the track! I'm just going to go off an honesty based system here, so basically if you message me and say, hey I voted give me that track I'll give it to you, but please actually vote if you can!

Additionally, if you can share this idea around to other people that would be much appreciated

if anyone else is interested in entering this contest, you can do it here - http://contest.ableton.com/

Cheers,
Bill.

Chinese Laundry is bugging out as this March 3rd we are ecstatic to announce Germany’s very own taste-maker, trend-setter, mover-shaker-extraordinaire will perform a massive 4 HOUR SET for what promises to be an excursion through cutting edge electronic music—STEVE BUG—alongside London’s legendary MYNC!

A dedicated, energetic and constantly surprising talent, STEVE BUG is nothing less than an electronic music ambassador, a much-loved spokesman to the people, and for good reason. The acclaimed German spinner is head honcho of a family of record labels that releases deep house, minimal and tech house. His family runs deep – split into three labels with his regarded Poker Flat label focusing on Tech, Dessous Recordings going for House material and Audiomatique aiming for new talent. It’s little wonder why Bug is heralded as a wickedly talented artist who is diverse and dishes up electronic music variety in buckets loads.

Bug’s churned out countless productions, remixes and off-the-cuff studio sessions, including his essential Bugnology mix series (now in its third instalment), his Collaboratory album, mixes for Fabric and Fuse as well as his exclusive digital album, Time Flies -The Best of Steve Bug 1998-2008. Seeing Bug live is a site to behold. Known for using and integrating Final Scratch technology, his impending visit to Australia should send most dance lovers running to the dance floor. Bugged out? Get in quick and he’s not in town for long!

Also listed on the Laundry bill is MYNC, whose 2011 track ‘Esa Boca Linda’ was a summer revelation, reaching a Top 10 spot on Beatport and #1 on the Tech House Chart. 2011 also saw MYNC’s ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ played a staggering 3 weeks in a row by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show, and official remixes of Avicii’s anthem ‘Fade Into Darkness’ as well as their remix for breakthrough artists of the year Azari & III all receiving widespread acclaim. With 2012 already jam packed with performances lined up in Australia, Brazil, Spain, Portugal & the US, and with more original productions and remixes underway, MYNC is set to take the Laundry by storm.

Set Times

Sand Bar

09:00 - King Lee
11:00 - Joe Barrs
01:00 - Athson

Laundry

10:00 - A-Tonez
11;30 - Chris Arnott
01:00 - MYNC (UK)
02:30 - The Immigrant

Cave

10:30 - Bella Sarris
12:00 - STEVE BUG (GER,4 Hour Set)

Doors open 9pm

Drink Specials between 9pm & 11pm

$5 Superdrys
$5 Vodka & Mixer
$5 Dirty laundry Shot

EMAIL - scottylaundry@gmail.com for any Guestlist , Group Bookings OR Birthday Packages

Guestlist Price - $15 Before 10:30 & $20 after

Facebook Event Here with further material on the night - https://www.facebook.com/events/379371205424910/

Witness the future evolution of bass culture at Chinese Laundry this February 24th: this is the Bass Bizarre.

4 x DMC World Champion, Sundance award winning director and hip hop pioneer DJ QBERT and 2 x UK beatbox Champion REEPS ONE combine dubstep, hip hop, drum n bass, beatboxing, turntablism and raw adrenalin in a spontaneous free form explosion of sub bass insanity that will rock your ear drums like nothing you have experienced before. The Bass Bizarre world tour kicks off in the UK in January 2012, and is exclusive to Chinese Laundry, so don't miss it!

DJ QBert’s live performances are witnessed by jaw dropping fans in total standing about-face solidarity. Entire dance floors stop and just amaze in the turntable wizardry that no other DJ can perform. Throughout his entire career, his style has never veered away to explore the current trends and the latest fads, but stay true to the skills of two turntables and a mixer, these are the official instruments of Hip-Hop.

Reeps One is a force. Recognized as one of the most interesting and powerful beatboxers on the globe and a level of technique surpassed by none. This 2x Uk beatbox champions spear headed the scene with bass frequencies never to have emerged from a human mouth before.
